Job summary

Barbaricum is seeking a System Engineer III to support the NSWC Crane Division's mission engineering analysis, focusing on EMSO-enabled analysis. You will lead requirements analysis, derivation, and verification strategy across hardware and software.

The role requires active DoD SECRET clearance, a Bachelor's from ABET-accredited, and 7+ years in systems engineering; TS/SCI and advanced degrees are desirable.

Qualifications

• Active DoD SECRET clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree from ABET-accredited institution.
• 7+ years of systems engineering experience.
• Knowledge of DoD systems engineering policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering requirements analysis, derivation, and management for hardware/software design and development per MIL-HDBK-539.
• Execute SETR processes and apply Root Cause Analysis techniques.
• Trace requirements from performance to detailed design and develop the RTVM.
• Strategize verification methods and document timing/method; support new development and test-capability development.
• Apply model-based systems engineering to identify subassemblies, interfaces, and software/firmware requirements.
• Coordinate with logisticians and DoD sponsors and interact with engineering IPTs.
