Job summary

Barbaricum is seeking a Scientist III to support NSWC Crane Division with EMSO-focused modeling and analysis. You will build and adapt statistical and computational models, incorporating state-of-the-art EM and atmospheric modeling along with data processing and machine learning to answer mission-oriented questions.

The role requires an active DoD SECRET clearance, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and 10+ years in life or physical sciences.

Qualifications

• Active DoD SECRET clearance required at minimum.
• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in a Life or Physical Science.
• 10+ years of experience in a Life or Physical Science discipline.
• Ability to construct, modify, and run statistical/analytical investigations with mathematical/computer models.

Responsibilities

• Construct and modify statistical/analytical investigations with mathematical/computer simulation models.
• Provide R&D support for computational EM modeling and atmospheric modeling.
• Research state-of-the-art tool sets for modeling and data processing.
• Develop models and algorithms with emphasis on EMSO and data analytics.
• Apply machine learning and data-analytic approaches to analytics objectives.
