Exelon is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer II to lead design, implementation, and optimization of complex IT infrastructure and cloud/hybrid systems. This role requires mentoring, cross‑team collaboration and strong problem‑solving skills to deliver reliable hosting of applications in a large enterprise environment.

The position may require extended hours, including 24x7 support during storms or energy delivery emergencies; multiple locations include Chicago, IL and Oak Brook Terrace, IL,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems; 4–7 years IT infra design experience.
• Hybrid Cloud enterprise environment experience.
• Proficient in scripting for automation (PowerShell, Ansible).
• Ability to design and document processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead discussions with business partners and vendors to gather system requirements and feasibility analyses.
• Develop migration plans, resource needs, and project schedules; present to Architecture Review Boards.
• Design, support and maintain system integration across platforms per customers’ needs.
• Identify risks and provide data to leadership; ensure action on issues.
• Mentor peers; ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
