Job summary

Exelon Corporation is seeking an IT Sr Systems Engineer II to lead complex IT system initiatives across cloud, non-cloud and hybrid environments. The role requires mentoring, strategic collaboration with architecture, and delivering secure, reliable hosting for enterprise applications.

The position may require extended hours, including 24x7 coverage during storms or energy delivery emergencies, and can be based in multiple Exelon locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Networking or related field.
• 4–7 years' experience in IT infrastructure design or 6–9 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with system administration.
• Led operational hands‑on activities in Hybrid Cloud environments.
• Ability to articulate complex information to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead discussions with partners and vendors to gather requirements and feasibility.
• Develop plans and schedules; present to engineering and architecture boards.
• Design, support and maintain system integrations tailored to customer needs.
• Identify risks and provide data to leadership; ensure issues are actioned.
• Provide coaching and oversight for junior engineers and foster a development‑centric team environment.
