Job summary

Exelon is seeking an IT Sr Systems Engineer II to design, implement, and optimize complex IT systems across cloud, non‑cloud, and hybrid environments. The role emphasizes collaboration with IT architecture, mentoring engineers, and delivering reliable hosting for critical applications.

The position targets a senior engineer capable of guiding projects, driving security and compliance, and partnering with business teams to meet demanding requirements across multiple Exelon locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 4–7 years of IT infra/design experience.
• Experience with system administration and cloud platforms, especially Azure.
• Ability to design and document processes and procedures.
• Proven capability to lead operational hand-offs and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Independently coordinate with business partners and vendors to gather requirements and prepare system specifications and implementation plans.
• Lead discussions with leadership, architecture, and project teams to identify architecture needs and feasible changes.
• Design, support, and maintain integration with other platforms to meet customer needs.
• Ensure risks and issues are tracked and reported with data-driven insights.
• Provide coaching and oversight for less experienced engineers and promote best practices.
