World Finance in Greenville, SC seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to own and modernize core infrastructure in a regulated hybrid environment. You will manage VMware ESXi/vCenter, Windows Server, Linux (RHEL), and Azure workloads while automating patching, backups, and security tasks.

You will drive IAM and directory services, including Entra ID and ADFS, and coordinate with Information Security on vulnerability remediation and audit readiness.

Competenze

• 7+ years in Windows/Linux systems administration or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity (Entra ID) depth.
• Hands-on VMware ESXi/vCenter and Azure experience, including virtual machines, networking, and security.
• Enterprise patching and vulnerability remediation across Windows and Linux, including RHEL.
• Automation skills; PowerShell, Bash and Python a plus, with a habit of engineering away manual and repetitive work.
• A bias for action and ownership of problems through resolution.
• Comfort in a regulated environment (GLBA/NIST, SOX controls) and clear communication with non-technical partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; financial services familiarity preferred.
• SOX / ITGC audit experience preferred.
• Certifications such as AZ-104, VCP, RHCSA / Linux+ are a plus.

Mansioni

• Own and optimize VMware ESXi/vCenter, Windows Server, and Linux (RHEL) workloads; lifecycle, performance, hardening, uptime, and storage.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and Entra ID; extend coverage across IAM tooling.
• Drive enterprise patching across Windows and Linux with automation, trials, and rollback.
• Remediate vulnerability findings and coordinate with Information Security.
• Own the enterprise backup platform: jobs, retention, immutable copies, and restore testing.
• Develop golden images and templates to reduce configuration drift; implement monitoring and alerting.
• Deploy and manage Windows and Linux VMs in Azure following cloud landing-zone standards.
• Provide endpoint protection, vulnerability management tooling and software deployment support.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and email security; support file transfer platform workflows.
• Provide hands-on network support (switching, firewall, SD-WAN) as backup to the network architect.
• Participate in BCP/DR exercises and audit-readiness programs.
