Job summary

UP MANAGEMENT LLC in Dallas seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, secure, and modernize core systems infrastructure. This hands-on role supports existing systems while driving next-generation solutions, serving as a senior escalation resource, and mentoring engineers.

The ideal candidate will manage hybrid Microsoft environments, lead migration projects from VMware vSphere to Proxmox, and develop automation with PowerShell.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or related field and 8+ years of relevant IT experience.
• Proven ability to design, deploy, and secure enterprise IT systems with a strong cybersecurity posture.
• Excellent communication and ability to mentor engineers and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, secure, and troubleshoot hybrid Microsoft infrastructure.
• Develop understanding of existing systems, configurations, dependencies, and technical debt.
• Lead migration planning from VMware vSphere to Proxmox.
• Maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Azure, Exchange Online, Intune, Defender.
• Own identity infrastructure, patching, backup, disaster recovery, and security.
• Develop PowerShell scripts and automation to improve efficiency.
• Mentor engineers and act as senior escalation resource.
• Create and maintain infrastructure diagrams and runbooks.
