Job summary

M.C. Dean is hiring a Systems Engineer 3 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit in Tysons, VA. You will design, engineer, integrate, and maintain cyber-physical security solutions for federal, local, and commercial customers.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, perform risk and requirements analysis, and lead technical directions for complex hardware/software systems while engaging with executives and field engineers alike.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE or related field with relevant experience.
• Experience with data center, virtualization, and security technologies.
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP administration.
• Experience with data center automation, scripting, and IaaS.
• DoD IT security requirements and DISA/STIG/SRGs familiarity.
• Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to identify needs and map to product solutions.
• Deliver technical presentations and tailored proposals.
• Develop customized solutions and implement them with teams.
• Prepare detailed proposals including pricing and rollout plans.
• Maintain client relationships and provide post-sale support.
• Lead market surveys, lab tests, POC, and pilots of security tech.
• Define requirements and ensure verification against system specs.
• Coordinate across multiple teams to manage interfaces and changes.
• Develop operation concepts and system architectures.
