Job summary

FlexGen is seeking a System Engineer to craft technical requirements and specifications for energy storage projects. You will drive engineering services for modeling, interconnections, and project development, ensuring on-site performance of FlexGen's energy management configurations.

The role reports to the head of System Solutions and requires coordinating with vendors and cross-functional teams to deliver complex installations worldwide.

Qualifications

BS degree in engineering or related technical field.
At least 6 years as an engineer or technical project manager.
Full project life cycle experience from design to service.
Experience with renewable energy systems and industrial protocols.
Ability to model energy storage and power systems.
Strong communication and project management skills.
Willingness to travel ~25% for commissioning.

Responsibilities

Create technical requirements and specifications for energy storage projects.
Manage vendor specifications and qualifications for battery and PCS equipment.
Lead engineering service for ES system modeling and interconnection applications.
Integrate battery, PCS, and LV/MV switchgear in ESS systems.
Lead design, execution and commissioning of projects.
