Job summary

FlexGen, based in Durham, NC, is seeking a Senior System Engineer to drive deployment readiness for data center solutions and bridge FlexGen HybridOS with project assets. You will own engineering and project issues, collaborate across teams, and ensure successful commissioning across data center BESS architectures.

The role requires a BS in engineering and 6+ years in power systems, with AutoCAD proficiency and strong technical communication skills. US work eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or a related technical field is required.
• Minimum 6+ years in the power system industry with substation, power plant, or renewable energy experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and SCADA/control systems.
• Ability to translate requirements into software/control configurations for HybridOS deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical deployment activities for data center use cases and assist with in-lab and simulator testing.
• Develop and maintain engineering roadmaps addressing technical risks and schedule changes.
• Review electrical diagrams and create control narratives and test plans for project control and telemetry.
• Coordinate with customers, EPCs, vendors, and internal teams to ensure site design compatibility with FlexGen software and hardware.
