Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Systems Engineer (Systems/Software) in Camden, NJ. This role focuses on designing and delivering safety-critical, cybersecure power solutions for military customers, spanning SDLC, requirements, and verification activities.

Responsibilities include system and software integration, documentation, and collaboration across electrical, mechanical, and software teams. A security clearance and US citizenship are required, with on-site work and up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 6+ years of Systems Engineering experience or Master’s with 4+ years.
• Experience with lifecycle models, requirements writing, verification testing.
• Experience with embedded software and hardware interfaces.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD/ISO processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical aspects of assigned projects and drive design decisions.
• Coordinate system requirements and interface with suppliers.
• Develop design and test artifacts and documentation.
• Prepare and review system/subsystem specifications and test plans.
• Support SDLC activities and customer reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure deliverables meet schedule.
