Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer to own cross-domain system requirements and architectures. You’ll drive trade-offs among marketing, engineering and stakeholders while shaping verification strategies for battery-powered embedded electronics.

You’ll mentor junior engineers, maintain system collateral, and ensure compliance with UL/CE/ANSI standards. On-site in Wisconsin, with domestic/international travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, embedded systems, energy storage systems, power electronics or related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency in translating asks from internal and external stakeholders into product requirements.
• Proven ability to identify and mitigate risks in a development setting.
• Experience collecting and analyzing test data from electromechanical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the impact analysis, development and strategy for company-wide challenges across multiple domains and product lines.
• Define system and sub-system requirements and architectures, balancing input from marketing, engineering and stakeholders.
• Create and maintain system collateral, including block diagrams, interfaces, configuration management and risk assessments.
• Support agile processes and drive tools and processes for system engineering practices.
• Develop and execute system verification and validation strategies.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive milestones in project schedules.
• Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
