Job summary
ASEC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide systems engineering expertise supporting NAVAIR's PMA-242. You will drive requirements development, system integration, and lifecycle engineering for advanced DoD weapon systems at NAS Patuxent River, MD, with potential relocation and travel opportunities.
The role emphasizes strong collaboration with engineering, program management, test, fleet, and industry partners to deliver traceable capability requirements and effective risk management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a systems/engineering related field is required.
- 8+ years of systems engineering experience in DoD or regulated environments.
- Experience with SE processes including requirements, integration, and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Lead SE Technical Reviews (SETRs) and manage requirements, architecture, risk, and configuration control.
- Perform gap analyses to align with warfighter needs and traceable capability requirements.
- Guide capability roadmapping and integration planning for DoD strike weapons.
- Coordinate with test, program offices, industry partners, and fleet users.
- Lead risk assessments for aircraft and system-of-systems integration.
- Interface with sponsors, contractors, and joint service partners.
- Occasional travel to NAS Patuxent River, MD may be required.
