Job summary

ASEC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support PMA-242, providing systems engineering, requirements development, integration, and lifecycle activities for complex weapon systems. The role involves collaboration with fleet, program offices, NAVAIR, and industry partners.

The position requires 8+ years in DoD or regulated environments, a related engineering degree, and the ability to lead technical reviews and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of systems engineering experience in DoD/aerospace/defense environments.
• Experience with systems engineering processes: requirements development, systems integration, technical reviews, risk management, configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Lead Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs), requirements development, system architecture, risk management, and configuration management activities.
• Conduct gap analyses to deliver traceable capability requirements for current and future weapons roadmaps.
• Guide requirements definition, capability roadmapping, and integration planning for emerging DoD strike weapons.
• Coordinate with test communities, intelligence organizations, program offices, NAVAIR, Navy, Marine Corps, and industry partners.
• Lead risk assessment activities related to aircraft and system-of-systems integration.
• Serve as primary technical interface with fleet users, OPNAV sponsors, contractors, PMAs, safety boards, and joint service partners.
