Job summary

ASEC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support NAVAIR's PMA-242. The role focuses on systems engineering, requirements development, integration, and risk management for complex DoD weapon systems. Travel to NAS Patuxent River, MD may be required; relocation to Maryland is an option.

You will collaborate with engineering, program management, test, fleet, and industry partners to advance DoD capabilities. A DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship are required for this on-site position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead SETRs, requirements development, system architecture, risk management, and configuration management activities.
• Conduct gap analyses to deliver traceable capability requirements for current and future weapons roadmaps.
• Guide requirements definition, capability roadmapping, and integration planning for emerging DoD strike weapons.
• Coordinate with test, program offices, NAVAIR, JPO, industry partners, and fleet/combat air forces.
• Lead risk assessment activities related to aircraft and system-of-systems integration.
• Serve as a primary technical interface with fleet users, sponsors, contractors, PMAs, weapons safety boards, and joint partners.
