Job summary

McBride Consulting seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/ISR SOF programs at Hanscom AFB, MA. You will help define acquisition documentation for major milestones, develop COAs for E-7 OFT and VMT, and ensure data for verification testing and level D certification.

You will engage in system concept reviews, risk management, and engineering analyses across dispersed bases, providing IPT support and technical guidance to sustain the ISR SOF portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 12+ years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD.
• Master's degree in a professional engineering discipline is preferred.
• Experience with DoD acquisition processes, Model Based Systems Engineering, and certification concepts is desirable.
• Experience in requirements development, system verification/validation, and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive program portfolio reviews to evaluate plans, enhance systems engineering processes, and design system-level tests.
• Review and evaluate plans, programs, designs, and test results to verify performance against specs.
• Prepare technical documentation and management reports for planning, implementation, and corrective actions.
• Perform system validations, including criteria and procedure development, and analyze major engineering results.
• Provide engineering support and training for programs from development through fielding and sustainment.
