Job summary

McBride Consulting is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support AFLCMC/ES at Hanscom AFB in a hybrid role. You will contribute to software and systems engineering across the DoD lifecycle, including requirements, design, integration, and lifecycle management.

You will collaborate with program management, logistics, test, and cybersecurity teams to ensure mission effectiveness, maintain documentation, and support program milestones while balancing multiple programs in a fast-paced defense

Qualifications

• Expertise in Agile SAFe 6.0 methodologies and PI planning.
• Strong software engineering and system analysis background.
• Experience in requirements decomposition and lifecycle management.
• Proven ability to maintain software baselines and release management.
• Hands-on Python development for automation and integration.
• Proficient with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, and Cameo EA.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud environments and secure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support DoD acquisition lifecycle across all phases.
• Apply software engineering principles to design, development, integration, and sustainment.
• Support requirements development, analysis, traceability, and verification for software and system-level capabilities.
• Perform system design, integration, and technical analysis for performance and mission effectiveness.
• Develop and review technical documentation including system specifications and interface control documents.
• Support technical reviews and program milestones (SRR, PDR, CDR).
• Collaborate with program management, logistics, test, and cybersecurity teams for integrated performance.
• Analyze system performance and recommend improvements for functionality and maintainability.
• Support risk identification, analysis, and mitigation planning for technical and program risks.
