Job summary

Assured Information Security (AIS) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide strategic systems engineering, governance, and enterprise integration support for JCWA within a DoD setting. This onsite role at Ft.

Meade requires TS/SCI with CI Poly and will collaborate with architects, advisors, and engineering teams to drive architecture governance and program execution. You will lead governance artifacts, support enterprise capabilities, and deliver executive-level dashboards and briefings,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with substantial DoD/defense contracting experience preferred.
• Proven experience applying systems engineering to complex systems-of-systems architectures.
• Expertise with DoD policies, acquisition lifecycle, and SAFe/Agile practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to briefing at executive level.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, governance of JCWA systems engineering artifacts and the JCWA Next-generation Reference Design.
• Develop, review, and implement enterprise governance products (Charters, SOPs, MFRs, SEPs, ADRs).
• Evaluate, integrate, and support enterprise capabilities (e.g., JCWA-ICAM) with policy awareness.
• Facilitate large-scale PI Planning events for 900+ personnel and craft planning materials.
• Engineer automated dashboards and reporting using Confluence and Jira to improve transparency and efficiency.
• Identify continuous improvements across JCWA engineering, Agile, and governance functions and contribute to the JCWA Lean Agile Center of Excellence.
• Coordinate needs across Agile Release Trains, PMOs, mission partners, and leadership to align governance.
• Develop executive dashboards and strategic communications highlighting compliance, risks, and mission impact.
