Job summary

Thoughtworks is seeking a senior Systems Support Engineer to ensure operational efficiency, stability and availability of complex application systems. You will contribute to incident management, DevOps and the delivery of innovative solutions for our clients.

You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, using continuous delivery practices, monitoring and logging to detect and resolve issues quickly, mentor junior engineers and apply the latest technology thinking from our Technology

Qualifications

Experience with Java, React and Angular, plus Python scripting.
Strong debugging and triaging skills for troubleshooting.
Experience with SQL and DataBricks databases.
Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure Pipelines).
Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus or Grafana.
Ability to deliver high-quality, well-tested bug fixes and enhancements.
Comfort with Agile methods (Scrum/Kanban).
Bonus: AI/ML experience and AI-driven development tools.

Responsibilities

Use incident management processes to generate reports and take corrective actions.
Debug complex application systems and resolve business-impacting issues.
Follow standards to improve stability and availability of systems.
Apply continuous delivery practices to evolve and deliver high-quality software.
Leverage logging, alerting and metrics for root-cause analysis.
Utilize DevOps tools to deploy and run software.
Mentor junior engineers through technical knowledge and leadership.
Apply latest technology thinking from our Technology Radar to client problems.
