Responsibilities

• Specify and design hardware for Variable Frequency Drive systems
• Parameterize and optimize programs for VFDs in industrial metal technology applications
• Address complex technical challenges and take decisive actions to solve them

Salary: $65,000 - 105,000 per year

Requirements

• Bachelors or advanced degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in drive systems
• At least 5 years of proven experience with medium- to large-scale Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) in industrial settings
• In-depth understanding of equipment, processes, and systems relevant to electrical engineering of steel mill machinery
• Strong grasp of advanced engineering principles, calculation techniques, and equipment design and selection
• Excellent teamwork abilities to effectively collaborate in large, diverse, multinational teams
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 30%
• Familiarity with drive systems such as Siemens SINAMICS S120, ABB ACS880, or Rockwell PowerFlex
• Proficient knowledge of motor models and the capability to accurately specify and select motor applications
