Job summary

Gateway Recruiting is seeking an experienced engineer to design and specify hardware for Variable Frequency Drives within complex, integrated systems for industrial metal technology applications.

The role includes parametrizing drive programs, solving complex design problems, and collaborating across a diverse team during project execution. A BS/BA in a related discipline with 5+ years of experience is required, with willingness to travel domestically and abroad.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience in drive systems.
• Good team skills and ability to work effectively in large, diverse, multinational groups.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel in the US and abroad.

• Identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem can be difficult or complex.

• Works with immediate manager, others in the group, project manager, project team and customer during project execution.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Person will be resonsible for developing / designing complex systems that integrate hardware and software which includes:

• Complex material specification.
• Schematic preparation and appropriate follow-up.
• Develops recommendations for ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction.
• Guides complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system design.
