Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Systems Engineer Senior to advance operations and support enterprise IT. You will work with AFATDS hardware and software, troubleshoot interfaces, and help ensure system reliability in challenging environments.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, a Secret clearance, and CompTIA Security+ CE certification. The position supports joint fires and modernization projects and offers comprehensive rewards and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Active Secret Clearance required.
• CompTIA Security+ CE certification.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and maintain AFATDS operating systems and related software.
• Initialize, configure, and troubleshoot software interfaces.
• Manage and monitor all installed systems, networks, and infrastructure for optimal performance.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and resilience of system and network infrastructure.
• Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with developers to implement fixes.
• Maintain system security, backup procedures, and redundancy strategies.
• Prepare weekly and bi-weekly technical and operational reports.
• Provide over-the-shoulder training and mentorship to artillery operators.
• Assist Canadian Army Artillery units in planning and executing exercises.
