Job summary

Evolv Technologies Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to administer, operate, and improve core IT systems including Microsoft 365, virtualization, and cloud infra. You will collaborate with stakeholders, own DR replication, and mentor the IT team while ensuring reliable enterprise systems across AWS/Azure.

This senior IC role reports to the Senior Director of Cybersecurity & Technology and offers a hybrid on-site model from Evolv HQ in Waltham, MA, with 3 days on-site per week.

Qualifications

• Hands-on IT operations across platforms and cloud
• Ability to mentor IT teammates and share runbooks
• Strong collaboration with stakeholders to align IT services with business needs

Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint
• Own virtualization (Nutanix) and backup (Rubrik) infrastructure
• Manage offsite/disaster recovery replication and testing
• Support corporate data management initiatives: classification, retention, and deletion
• Operate day-to-day AWS/Azure infrastructure: EC2, S3, resource groups, cost management and budgeting
• Provide front-line escalation support and mentoring to IT teammates; maintain runbooks and documentation
• Act as a trusted technology advisor to internal stakeholders on day-to-day systems needs
