Job summary

SurePoint Technologies is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support infrastructure across colocation, AWS cloud, networking, storage, and virtualization. You’ll lead projects, troubleshoot complex issues, and help set standards for architecture and operations.

The role includes mentoring engineers, creating runbooks, and ensuring secure, scalable systems with proactive monitoring. The position emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams and occasional travel to

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive IT infrastructure engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, PowerShell, and SQL knowledge.
• Experience with VMware, Horizon, IdP, SSO/SAML, and Cisco networking.
• Solid documentation skills and ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support infrastructure across data centers and AWS.
• Lead moderately complex projects from design to implementation.
• Troubleshoot advanced issues and serve as escalation point.
• Develop standards, guidelines, and runbooks for ops.
• Evaluate tools to improve scalability, security, and reliability.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.
• Maintain high availability, monitoring, and incident response.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and provide guidance.
• Occasional travel to Cincinnati data center for ops and outages.
