Job summary

The Senior Systems Engineer will design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure across colocation data centers and cloud environments, driving reliability and security while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive IT infrastructure engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support infrastructure across colocation, AWS, networking, storage, and identity services.
• Lead moderately complex infrastructure projects from design through implementation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues, serving as an escalation point for infrastructure engineers.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of infrastructure architecture standards, technical guidelines, and operational procedures.
• Evaluate new tools and technologies and recommend improvements to scalability, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure technical solutions support business objectives.
• Maintain platform availability, reliability, and security through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced systems engineers.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including standards, procedures, and runbooks.
• Support automation, monitoring, and resiliency initiatives that drive continuous improvement.
• Occasional travel to the Cincinnati data center to support infrastructure operations, including hardware deployment and outage response.
