Job summary

SurePoint Technologies Inc. seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to lead the design, engineering, reliability, security, and modernization of enterprise infrastructure across data centers and cloud environments. You will set standards, guide architecture, and mentor engineers to deliver secure and scalable solutions that support growth.

The role emphasizes strategic direction, collaboration with leadership, and ongoing modernization initiatives with travel to the Cincinnati data center as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
• Expert knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, PowerShell, and SQL Server.
• Extensive experience with VMware technologies and Horizon.
• Experience with IdP/SAML integrations and network routing.
• Strong ability to align technical solutions with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise infrastructure roadmaps and modernization strategies.
• Lead design, implementation, and support of infrastructure across colocation, AWS cloud, networking, storage, and identity services.
• Establish enterprise architecture standards and operational best practices.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve scalability, reliability, and security.
• Lead large-scale cloud, networking, security, and platform initiatives.
• Ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to infrastructure engineers.
• Maintain platform availability, security, and scalability.
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation and procedures.
• Drive automation, monitoring, and resiliency improvements.
• Occasional travel to the Cincinnati data center for operations.
