Job summary

San Francisco District Attorney is seeking a Technology Engineer – Senior to analyze, design, implement, maintain and enhance diverse systems across cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid environments. You will serve as the senior technical contributor ensuring reliability and performance for Citywide services.

Responsibilities include leading day‑to‑day operations, deploying complex updates, performing backups and disaster recovery, and guiding security configurations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or equivalent.
• Three years of experience analyzing, installing, configuring, enhancing, and/or maintaining a system or platform.
• One year of additional experience may substitute for the degree; completion of the 1010 Information Systems Trainee Program may substitute for the degree.

Responsibilities

• Leads day-to-day operational support for software systems, services, and infrastructure, including cloud-based and on-premises environments.
• Builds, patches, tests and deploys complex systems and platforms across cloud-based, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
• Plans and implements changes to software systems and infrastructure to enhance performance via infrastructure-as-code and automated delivery.
• Performs data backup, data migration and disaster recovery operations.
• Performs complex software and OS upgrades and tracks system licensing.
• Configures security settings or access permissions for groups and individuals.
• Provides technical support to users and documents procedures.
• Leads configuration and maintenance of software; collaborates with vendors and other departments.
• Provides guidance and assistance to other engineers and administrators.
