Job summary

Pi-square technologies, a Michigan-based automotive embedded engineering firm, is seeking a System Engineer in South San Francisco, CA. You will manage Windows and Linux servers, handle virtualization and cloud resources, and build containerized applications while maintaining automation and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or related role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Windows 10/11 and Linux distributions (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS, etc.).
• Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC).
• Hands-on with Docker/containers; exposure to orchestration tools (Kubernetes, ECS/EKS) is a plus.
• Scripting in Bash/PowerShell/Python and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Windows and Linux servers (installation, config, patching).
• Configure, maintain, and monitor VMware/Hyper-V and AWS cloud resources.
• Build, deploy, and maintain Dockerized apps and orchestrated environments.
• Develop automation scripts and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement cybersecurity best practices and monitor vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and IT to deliver solutions; document procedures.
