Job summary

TSTC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead design, development, integration, and sustainment of complex C4ISR and information warfare systems in a DoD context. The role emphasizes geospatial workflows and mission applications, requiring strong leadership across multidisciplinary teams.

The candidate should possess a Master’s degree, 10+ years of relevant experience, and security clearance readiness. Remote work options exist with travel up to 90% CONUS & OCONUS as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering experience with systems engineering leadership.
• Experience with geospatial systems, geospatial data standards, or related mission applications.
• Knowledge of requirements management tools, modeling approaches, and systems engineering methodologies.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Works independently with proactive task completion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering activities across the full development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture development, integration, test, deployment, and sustainment.
• Develop, analyze, and maintain system architectures, interface specifications, and technical documentation for enterprise-level systems.
• Perform requirements decomposition, traceability, and verification planning in accordance with DoD and Navy systems engineering practices.
• Coordinate with software, hardware, cybersecurity, data, and program management teams to ensure cohesive technical solutions.
• Lead system performance assessments, trade studies, and risk management activities.
• Guide configuration management and engineering change processes.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports, engineering plans, and briefings for both technical and executive-level audiences.
• Support field tests, demonstrations, and operational assessments, including geospatial data workflows and mission applications.
