Job summary

Merlin Labs is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to lead the development of system and sub-system architecture and requirements for autonomous flight. You will work with safety, hardware, and software teams to define interfaces, verification strategies, and testing plans on a small, agile team.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Electrical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering with 6–9 years of experience in systems engineering, and have experience in flight controls, autonomy, and safety-critical

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical, Aerospace or Systems Engineering (MS preferred).
• 6–9 years in systems engineering in aerospace or related field.
• Experience in Flight Controls System development with ML or autonomy.
• Experience with requirements management tools and processes.
• Ability to lead architectural and interface definition and verification.

Responsibilities

• Develop system and sub-system architecture and requirements.
• Define features, functions, and interfaces for Merlin products.
• Create sub-system level requirements and test methods.
• Develop verification and validation strategies across disciplines.
• Collaborate with safety, hardware, and software teams to capture interfaces.
