Job summary

Supernal, an Advanced Air Mobility company in Irvine, CA, seeks an experienced System Engineering & Integration Engineer to ensure alignment with FAA development standards and Supernal’s Part 21 obligations throughout the lifecycle.

The role oversees system-level consistency, architecture, and verification across program phases, maintaining conformity with ARP4754A/ARP4761A and certification milestones. On-site 5 days a week with leadership in technical reviews.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in aerospace or related engineering field.
15+ years of aircraft systems engineering experience.
Strong knowledge of SAE ARP4754A and ARP4761.
Extensive knowledge of DO-178C and DO-254 in certified aircraft programs.
Familiarity with requirements management and configuration control tools.

Responsibilities

Review engineering processes and governance to align with FAA-recognized standards (ARP4754A/ARP4761A, DO-178C/DO-254).
Identify gaps between processes and FAA-compliant systems frameworks; define enhancements for certification readiness.
Lead transfer and internalization of engineering systems, compliance methods, and certification governance.
Review system architectures and major decisions from vehicle integration, safety, and certification perspectives.
