Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to design, build, and operate tooling that streamlines compliance data collection and evidence organization for AFSS.

You will own end-to-end technical solutions, write production-grade code, build pipelines and integrations, and apply AI to automate compliance workflows across FedRAMP and air-gapped regions. Collaboration with compliance specialists and security teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience programming in modern languages (Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.
• Experience leading design, build and deployment of complex, scalable software in production.
• Experience with security, compliance, cloud, AI security, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate automation tooling to reduce manual compliance work.
• Apply AI tooling, LLMs, and RAG to automate compliance workflows.
• Write, review, and maintain production-quality code and systems.
• Enable 2-3x more scope for compliance specialists by tooling.
• Integrate with compliance evidence libraries and security systems.
• Develop tooling for gov cloud environments (FedRAMP, air-gapped).
• Gain fluency in audit programs (SOX, FedRAMP, ISO, SOC 2).
• Collaborate with security, compliance, legal, and product teams.
• Instrument and improve reliability of compliance automation.
