Job summary

Nokia is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to support the Sales team in the U.S. region. The role focuses on driving technical propositions, delivering product demonstrations, and acting as the key technical advisor for the Infinera product portfolio during the sales cycle.

You will travel within the region, engage with senior executives, and build long-term customer relationships while ensuring solutions meet reliability, scalability, and cost targets.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years relevant experience in vendor sales engineering
• Experience and familiarity with Infinera products desirable
• Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs and reports

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver technical product presentations / demonstrations.
• Manage and interpret customer requirements to understand and meet needs.
• Articulate how a product design best satisfies requirements in terms of reliability, scalability, price and delivery.
• Support marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other events.
• Respond to RFIs/RFPs with technical input.
• Convey customer feature requirements to Product Line Management teams.
• Travel throughout the sales region.
• Develop and grow long-term relationships with customers.
• Produce customer orderable quotations.
• Provide after-sales support services.
• Liaise with sales team and other technical experts.
• Provide training and support material for sales team.
