Job summary

Infinera is seeking a Principle Systems Engineer to lead the technical proposition during the Sales process. You will collaborate with the sales team as a key technical advisor and product advocate for the Infinera portfolio, articulating technology positioning to both business and technical stakeholders.

You will travel within the region and coordinate with Product Line Management to ensure customer requirements are translated into viable solutions and successful deliveries.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in vendor sales engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with Infinera products desirable.
• Strong presentation skills for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to articulate product positioning and respond to RFIs/RFPs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver technical product presentations / demonstrations.
• Interpret and manage customer requirements to meet needs.
• Articulate how a design solution satisfies reliability, scalability and cost targets.
• Support marketing by attending trade shows and events.
• Respond to RFIs/RFPs with technical elements.
• Translate customer feature requests to Product Line Management.
• Travel within the sales region as needed.
• Build long‑term relationships with customers.
• Prepare customer quotations and provide after‑sales support.
• Collaborate with sales and other technical experts.
