Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. seeks a Systems Engineer to support NASIC/NSIC missions through the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM). The role focuses on building and maintaining models and scenarios in AFSIM to address space, counter‑space, and intelligence challenges.

You will contribute to complex simulations, document assumptions, and collaborate in an Agile team using Jira while interfacing with DoD stakeholders and external data sources.

Qualifications

• BS in CS/SE or related STEM with 2+ years experience or MS with 0 years experience.
• U.S. Citizenship with active TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience with C++ and Python; object‑oriented programming.
• Experience working on software or modeling projects in a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to contribute to technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and maintain models and simulations in the AFSIM framework.
• Design and implement AFSIM scenarios and plugins; extend framework capabilities.
• Collaborate with modeling engineers, software developers, analysts, and DoD stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into simulation architectures and models; document results.
• Use Python, C++, and related languages to interface with tools and data sources.
• Contribute to complex technical documentation and participate in Agile processes using Jira.
