Job summary

Safran Electronics & Defense Avionics USA is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to lead cross-disciplinary design, development and verification of pilot control, actuation and cockpit systems for next‑gen aircraft.

The role spans requirements through lifecycle support, with close interaction across design, manufacturing, quality and program management teams. You will evaluate customer needs, perform system interface work, conduct trade studies, and participate in change control to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, aerospace, electrical, engineering technology, manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or systems engineering.
• 8+ years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ITAR-restricted role requiring U.S. Persons

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning, design, development, and verification of systems.
• Define and coordinate system performance requirements with traceability.
• Create tests, verification plans, and support documentation.
• Interface development and system integration across cross-functional teams.
• Provide trade studies and impact analysis; perform root-cause evaluation.
• Review specifications for compliance to requirements and statements of work.
• Assist with program Change Control Board documentation and system qualification.
• Contribute to design for manufacturability and design for cost reviews.
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers to resolve issues.
• Support new product development and lifecycle sustainment.
