Job summary

Draper, an independent nonprofit R&D company in Cambridge, MA, seeks a Senior Aerospace Systems Engineer to define, analyze, and verify system requirements within MBSE and digital engineering frameworks. You will translate mission needs into use cases, develop CONOPS, and drive requirement flow-down across the life cycle.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in systems engineering, excellent written and verbal communication, and hands-on experience with SysML, Matlab/Simulink, and modeling tools

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or related field; master’s preferred.
• 5–10 years in systems engineering with emphasis on requirements engineering.
• Demonstrated experience with SysML, modeling tools, and MBSE/digital engineering.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, schedule and participate in requirements assessments.
• Assist in strategic technical planning, project management, and risk management.
• Conduct requirements engineering, scheduling, reliability, and analysis for training.
• Support the analyses and allocation of requirements.
• Lead assessment efforts and mentor less experienced engineers.
