Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to lead and sustain the full systems engineering model across diverse aerospace, defense, and medical device projects.

You will develop ConOps, requirements, interfaces, and verification plans while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. A Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technical Management and 6+ years in SE leadership are required, with MBSE tool experience (Cameo/DOORS/Cradle/CORE).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technical Management.
• 6+ years of engineering or product development experience with demonstrated systems engineering leadership.
• Aerospace or Defense experience/ Med Device experience.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering processes, requirements development, risk identification, and architecture modeling.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to customers and leadership.
• Familiarity with MBSE tools such as Cameo, DOORS, Cradle, or CORE.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the full systems engineering model for a wide range of customer and project types.
• Develop core systems engineering artifacts including ConOps, requirements solicitation, analysis, and management.
• Create use cases and behavioral diagrams, ICDs, and verification plans.
• Lead or support design reviews and prepare all required systems engineering content.
• Ensure adherence to ALTEN Technology Quality System processes.
• Mentor junior systems engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support integration and verification planning and execution.
