Job summary

OSARO seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to own end-to-end system performance for robotic deployments. You will collaborate with Hardware, Infrastructure, and ML teams to deliver production-grade solutions in complex software environments.

You will design cell/system flows with solution teams, coordinate with SW/HW, and travel to customer sites as needed during deployments. Strong robotics, real-time control, and multi-axis planning experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in robotic control development.
• Developing and tuning control frameworks for robotic applications.
• Trajectory optimization, kinematics, and motion planning for multi-axis robots.
• Expertise in Rust or C++ with software design, architecture, and real-time systems.
• Hands-on experience with industrial robotic arms and low-level hardware controllers.
• Experience with robotic sensors and real-time data processing.
• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Job description

We are seeking a full-time Senior Systems Engineer to enhance the performance and efficiency of our deployments. You will be in charge of owning the entire end to end system level performance for our deployments. In this role, you will collaborate closely with teams across Hardware, Infrastructure, and Machine Learning to integrate robust, production-grade solutions into our customers’ complex software environments.

This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about engineering solutions that bridge advanced robotics and real-time control, take full ownership of their work, and thrive in a challenging, collaborative environment.

This role involves working closely with the solution team intentionally to design the cell/system flow, working closely with SW and HW to make sure the cell behavior matches the above workflow as well as SOW (Scope of Work). Travel to customer sites should be expected; travel time will be in conjunctions with deployments and can last several weeks at a time. However, travel time is minimal to none when not in deployment.

• Expertise in Rust or C++ with a proven ability in software design, architecture, and developing complex, real-time, multi-process systems.
• Hands-on experience with industrial robotic arms, including direct development with low-level hardware controllers.
• In-depth knowledge of robotic system design, integration, debugging, verification, and testing, particularly for industrial robotic manipulators operating in demanding, real-time environments.
• Background working with robotic sensors (e.g., cameras, force sensors, grippers) involving sensor integration, calibration, or real-time data processing.

• MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
