Job summary

Sherwin-Williams in Cleveland seeks a Systems Development Engineering Manager to translate strategy into the development lifecycle, guiding design, development, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems infrastructure including servers, networks, storage and software components.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, drive architecture decisions, oversee 24/7 production support, and ensure secure, scalable integrations across web-centric applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years IT experience.
• 7+ years IT experience.
• 3+ years managing direct reports.
• 7+ years in software engineering or application development with leadership.
• Hybrid onshore/offshore team experience.
• Experience with Supply Chain Planning systems.
• Hands-on leadership 30–40%, architecture/design/troubleshooting.
• 24/7 production support experience.
• Balance enhancements, debt remediation and production support.
• Experience in modernization or transformation initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder communication across business and IT.
• Proficient in PL/SQL with tuning.
• Oracle APEX for dev/support.
• REST API integrations and distributed ecosystems.
• Understanding integration patterns and data orchestration.
• Windows Server environments.
• SDLC/Agile familiarity.
• Git and structured release processes.

Responsibilities

• Make tactical decisions and handle unforeseen issues.
• Oversee two or more disciplines or a department; mentor staff.
• Advise teams on moderately complex matters and drive strategy.
