Job summary

Management Recruiters of Zionsville seeks an experienced Senior Systems Designer to join a growing engineering design firm in the Indianapolis area. You will lead the design of low-voltage building technology systems and collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients on integrated solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in building design with a focus on low-voltage technology systems.
• Experience designing structured cabling, security, and audiovisual systems for commercial or institutional buildings.
• RCDD credential is required or strongly preferred.
• CTS or CTS-D certification is a plus.
• Proficiency with Revit MEP and AutoCAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design low-voltage building technology systems (structured cabling, security, AV).
• Develop construction drawings, specifications, and design docs using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Coordinate technology systems with architecture, MEP disciplines during design.
• Review designs for codes, standards, and engineering practices.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and project teams.
• Conduct field surveys and occasional site visits to verify installations.
• Review shop drawings/submittals, respond to RFIs, and provide construction administration support.
• Maintain strong client relationships while managing deadlines and delivering quality design work.
