Job summary

The Innovative Group is seeking a Senior System Designer to develop detailed system layouts, wiring plans, and engineered drawings for quotes. You will collaborate with division and project managers, as well as technicians, to research products and generate technical documentation.

You will integrate A/V, automation, IT/network, and lighting into client-approved designs, and maintain comprehensive project documents to ensure successful execution across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of residential audio/video, automation, security, and networking systems.
• Experience in a similar role or as an audio/video technician preferred.
• Familiarity with Control4 systems and other residential low-voltage systems.
• Proficiency in design tools such as D-Tools Cloud, CAD, Bluebeam, or Visio.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed system layouts, wiring designs, and engineered drawings for project quotes.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including Division Managers, Project Managers, and technicians, on product research, quotes, and technical documentation.
• Integrate A/V, automation, IT/network, and lighting solutions into client-approved designs.
• Create and maintain all relevant project documents, including A/V plans, wire schedules, and schematics.
