Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Sr Engineer in Systems Design & Implementation in Hartford, CT. You will lead the implementation of complex public safety software, including body cameras and digital evidence management, bridging high-level design with on-site deployment.

The role requires expert technical leadership, documented interfaces, and strong collaboration across sales, PM, engineering and product teams. Travel is substantial, and CJIS security is a key consideration.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of public safety software implementation experience.
• Hardware sizing, configuration and implementation experience.
• TCP/IP networking and design experience.
• Ability to obtain background clearance as required by government customers.
• LTE modem/router background.
• Technical writing ability to convey complex info clearly.
• Knowledge of radio voice communications networks.
• Familiarity with Motorola Solutions public safety applications.
• Understanding of public safety operations.
• CJIS security policy background checks.

Responsibilities

• Implement body cameras, in-car video systems, and real-time command center software.
• Act as technical solution owner for projects.
• Provide system as-built documentation.
• Identify interface requirements and coordinate design.
• Lead customer sessions for technical requirements.
• Collaborate with sales, project management, engineering, product, and SMEs.
• Provide customer product training (in-person and virtual).
• Survey, design, install and maintain wireless infrastructure at client sites.
