General Motors is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to lead AV system architecture across multiple products. Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 6+ years of systems engineering experience, ideally in embedded, automotive, robotics.
• Proven track record of leading system architecture for complex embedded platforms.
• Deep understanding of AV/ADAS and embedded computing platforms, sensors, ML-driven autonomy.
• Hands-on experience with system modeling, simulation tools, and requirements management frameworks.
• Familiarity with automotive safety standards is a plus.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to navigate high ambiguity and solve complex problems.

Aufgaben

• Lead end-to-end systems engineering for embedded AV and ADAS platforms.
• Define, document, and manage system-level requirements with traceability.
• Develop and maintain hardware, software, and safety architectures.
• Balance compute, memory, and bandwidth trade-offs for hardware and software.
• Perform resource allocation, profiling, and optimization for performance, power, latency, reliability.
• Define data flows and interfaces to meet safety and performance requirements.
• Collaborate with autonomy software, firmware, hardware, validation, and vehicle teams.
• Drive technical roadmap planning and platform evolution.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies for integration and performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster technical excellence.
