Job summary

AEVEX Aerospace in Tampa, FL seeks a Senior Test Engineer to design, develop, and validate automated and manual test systems for embedded military hardware, and to create test procedures and fixtures for circuit card assemblies.

The role requires strong electronics knowledge, software programming skills, and experience with LabVIEW, TestStand, MATLAB/Simulink, and familiarity with MIL-STD-461. A Top Secret DoD clearance or the ability to obtain one is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 9+ years of Electrical/Test Engineering experience.
• Experience collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and purchasing teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze embedded military systems to define and implement test methods.
• Design and develop test environments, fixtures, and equipment.
• Authorize and maintain detailed test procedures and reports.
• Plan, oversee, and execute qualification and production testing.
• Provide Design for Testability input and support design reviews.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and provide training.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and status reporting for tasks.
• Specify and evaluate supplier components and test-related services.
• Demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Work independently and in teams to meet goals.
