Job summary

AEVEX Corp. in Tampa, FL is seeking a Flight Test Engineer for UAS development and test programs. You will lead flight test planning, execution, data analysis and reporting, working with DoD customers and prime contractors.

This role requires travel up to 25% and strict adherence to safety and test procedures. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to assess results and drive a disciplined flight test program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• Master's degree in related field is desirable.
• 6+ years of engineering experience with DoD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all facets of flight testing from planning through data analysis and report writing.
• Provide leadership to plan and execute developmental, operational and research tests as required.
• Maintain strict flight test discipline in planning, execution and operations.
• Interface with test organizations, prime contractors and customers to align priorities.
• Review modification packages for air vehicles, ground stations, and support equipment.
