Job summary

Honeywell in Salem, OR is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to design and implement complex solutions spanning hardware, software, and networks. Hybrid work schedule and reporting to Sr Engineering Manager.

You will guide cross-functional teams, ensure quality, security, and performance, and drive architecture decisions for mission-critical projects. Requires 6+ years in full stack development and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in full stack software development.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies including React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
• Experience with back-end technologies such as Node.js.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Knowledge of MongoDB and SQL databases.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience using GitHub, Jira, and other collaboration tools.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Proven ability to drive software development projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of advanced systems, including hardware, software, and network components.
• Provide successful execution of complex engineering projects.
• Implement and enforce security measures and compliance standards to safeguard systems and data.
• Lead the deployment and configuration of systems, ensuring proper installation, testing, and performance.
• Provide technical leadership in identifying and resolving system issues, minimizing downtime, and keeping systems operational.
• Identify opportunities for process and system improvements, implement enhancements, and optimize operations.
