Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to design, implement, and manage complex systems across industries, reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager. This role operates from the Salem, OR location on a hybrid schedule, partnering with hardware, software, and network teams to deliver secure, high-performance solutions.

You will guide projects from concept to deployment, uphold Honeywell's quality standards, and mentor junior engineers while driving continuous improvement and operational

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS, software engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in full stack software development.
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
• Experience with Node.js.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Knowledge of MongoDB and SQL.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience with GitHub, Jira, and collaboration tools.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Proven ability to drive software development projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of advanced systems, including hardware, software, and network components.
• Provide successful execution of complex engineering projects.
• Implement and enforce security measures and compliance standards to safeguard systems and data.
• Lead the deployment and configuration of systems, ensuring correct installation and rigorous testing.
• Provide technical leadership in identifying and resolving system issues and minimizing downtime.
• Identify opportunities for process and system improvements and contribute to operational optimization.
