Qualifications

Responsibilities

• 40% Monitoring system and network health; respond to performance issues.
• 30% Supporting and maintaining server infrastructure, including patching and updates.

This organization, a well-established player in manufacturing and enterprise operations, is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join its team in Lancaster, South Carolina (onsite, 5 days/week)—just 30 minutes outside of Charlotte. The organization is undergoing key infrastructure initiatives including virtualization and identity management transformations, making this an exciting time to join.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years of professional IT experience in systems administration and/or infrastructure support
• Hands-on experience working with Windows Server environments and enterprise systems (not just account provisioning or helpdesk tasks)
• Familiarity with server patching processes and automation tools (e.g., NinjaOne or similar)
• Exposure to virtualization technologies such as VMware or Nutanix
• Understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM) concepts and tools
• Associate’s degree required

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience supporting or implementing Nutanix environments
• Exposure to IAM tools such as Ping or alternatives
• Experience working in environments with separate helpdesk/support tiers
• Ability to manage multiple projects and proactively improve system performance
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a small team environment
