Job summary

Legato, LLC is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator in Aurora, CO to support complex enterprise IT systems. TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required and the salary range is $170,000–$200,000 depending on experience.

You will manage daily system operations, monitor performance, and troubleshoot issues across UNIX and Windows environments and Cisco networking gear. The role emphasizes reliability, capacity planning, and cross-functional collaboration with SOA interdependencies.

Qualifications

• Fifteen (15) years of Systems Administration experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; five (5) additional years may substitute for a total of twenty (20) years.
• Strong experience administering and troubleshooting UNIX and Windows operating systems.
• Hands‑on experience supporting Cisco routers and switches.
• Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure including servers, storage, and network devices.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving complex hardware, software, and systems integration issues.
• Experience with system monitoring, performance optimization, resource utilization, and capacity planning.
• Strong technical troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise IT systems.
• Manage daily system administration activities, including operations, monitoring, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Configure, administer, and maintain UNIX and Windows operating systems.
• Support installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Cisco routers and switches in enterprise environments.
• Provide Tier I and II support, including problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Monitor and maintain client/server environments, storage, network devices, and IT infrastructure.
• Analyze and resolve complex issues involving server hardware, applications, network components, and software integration.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization with capacity planning.
